whose fault is it if...

someone is piling papers on the edge of a table and they are really high and pretty unstable, then then they put something on top of it. Someone else comes over grabs something off the top and all the papers fall. Whose fault is it. The person that didnt take the time to fix the papers correctly or the person that grabbed something on top?

  • Both played a part. They should both clean it up.

  • Well its a little of both.. Because the stacker should have been more careful just in case the grabber grabbed..

  • Both - either one could have fixed the problem, but neither one did.

  • Both. One didn't take the time to make sure the pile was neat and stable, and the other obviously wasn't paying attention to what they were doing.

  • Both. The first person should've known better then to pile the papers so high and on the edge of the table. Secondly, the second person should've known better then to trust a high pile of papers.

  • I blame the paper manufacturers. If they would stop making the paper, that would never happen. Of course, it may be that the table manufacturers are slightly to blame, too. Maybe it's best to let the courts sort this through.
