Why wouldn't you buy your daughter a barbie?

I seen some women posted that if they wouldn't buy there daughter a barbie then why would they buy there son one? What's wrong with buying your daughter a barbie just curious?

  • Some moms feel barbie is too "adult" for little girls. Barbie is definitely a very sexualized figure, so it makes sense to me. There is already too much pressure on girls and young women to fit into a certain mold, so why introduce them to those expectations so young?

  • Yeah, I wasn't trying to be condescending or rude or anything, I believe every parent has the choice to parent how they want and not be judged (unless the child is in danger of course) But I was just curious because I had never thought of it that way before...
