What the difference?

between chatting online or in real life to strangers in public, at stores or coworkers?

I'd think the online talk would be easier to monitor for the insecure person concerned. Yet the online chatting seems to be of larger concern than talking to people face-to-face when your not with them.

Chatting is basically texting.
