under wires while pregnant

I am planning on breastfeeding dd when she gets her. I know it's not a good idea to wear bras with under wires while you are breastfeeding...but what about while you are pregnant?

  • I heard that wearing under wire can block your milk ducts? I'm not sure if that's true tho. I was wondering because my bras have under wire and i'm 24 weeks.

  • Maternity bras? I just wore the same ones I was wearing before. My breasts never grew.

  • My nursing bras have underwires - I've worn them with all 5 of mine and never had a problem.

  • I've never been told either. I breast fed all three of mine and wore under wire nursing bras...they IMO are much better than non wire ones. And yes its find during pregnancy also.

  • I have nursed three wearing an underwire bra throughout pregnancy and after. With a proper fit, there should be no problem.
