  • Well isn't that Yoda bat just about the cutest little thing ever? And look, he even has that 'I am wise' Yoda thing going on, lol.

  • I think this little guy is adorable!! :o)

A picture of a deep-sea octopus found during a recent expedition off Newfoundland -- possibly a new species

Of course, he'd probably rip your head off!  LOL

  • Wow. I wasn't content to just look at the Yoda Bat--I had to go through all of the "top ten" weirdest new discoveries. Really fascinating! I was sad to read that the only member of the particular species of monkey (was it in Myanmar?) was eaten for dinner by the locals.  :-(

    Very interesting stuff, Pam!

  • That little octopus caught my eye, too. He looks so small and innocent. . . I'm sure he wouldn't hurt anyone! ;-)

I'll bet those words were the last ones spoken by some explorers--Makes me think of one of the Jurassic Park films.  I don't remember if it was the first or not. . . but there were the cute little dinosaurs that looked absolutely adorable--until they started ripping someone limb from limb.

  • LOve those links!
The last time the grandkids and I went to the Science Museum in St Paul, we saw some facinating fossils that were about as old as that bird---something like 50,000 years old. That is quite a concept and the kids are in awe of all those discoveries.
