math question (:

1 cup (240 ml) of honey the substitue is 3/4 cup (180 ml) maple syrup plus 1/2 cup (100 grams) granulated white sugar

im looking for 1/4 cup of honey substitute!! LOL! HELP!

  • You divide everything by 4 then...

    It helps to know that 1/4cup is 4 tbsp... so the easy way is to convert it all to tbsp and then divide it:

    1c honey =16tbsp
    3/4c maple syrup =12 tbsp
    1/2c white sugar=8tbsp

    Happily, that all divides by four really well: 4tbsp of honey would be replaced by 3tbsp of maple syrup plus 2 tbsp white sugar
