  • Do you brush her teeth? Does she have things to chew on?

  • You can get the Breath Busters dog biscuits from Pedigree. Or Petsmart has thier own brand, I think they are just called Breath Biscuits. They work great for my dog!

  • The only quick fix is getting her teeth cleaned at the vet, then keep up with brushing her teeth, giving her stuff to chew on, and a dry dog food diet...

  • The only fix in general is getting her teeth cleaned. Gingivitis and calculus on the teeth cause the bad breath. Just so you know, not cleaning a dogs teeth can reduce their life by 2-3 years by getting infections through their mouth and oral cancer. Your best preventative is to brush their teeth or at least get the tooth paste in their mouth. Unlike our tooth paste dogs have toothpaste that is enzymatic and will work with just reacting with thier saliva.

  • BAD BREATH is a sign of worms...just some liquid wormer from Walmart does the trick. Teeth brushing is good as well as dental bones and/or bones with minty flavor :0) good luck!

  • Sometimes its just that they need a professional teeth cleaning which usually requires them to be knocked out. But one thing I can tell you is NEVER get Greenies. They are so bad for your dogs...they can get stuck in their intestines and then need to be surgically removed and the dog has to go thru so much, if they are lucky enough to live thru it. And not all bad breath is a sign of worms.....its important to ask your vet so you can rule things like that out.

  • HayleyGM... did this happen to your dogs? My dogs love those things and have NEVER had a problem. What breed of dog are you referring to and does it "inhale" it's food?

And the worms thing is most likely not it. Hope you get your pooch's teeth cleaned by your vet soon. The tartar and plaque that builds up on their teeth is a risk to their health in general including cardiac and respiratory disease.
