The older I get the harder it is for me to lose weight or keep weight off. True or False?

Now that I'm 30 I can't seen to eat whatever I want anymore without the consequence of weight gain. Is everybody like this?

  • LOL! It hit me at 45! But like alotleft2do stated, I was always so skinny... so actually I am kind of normal right now. I still want to lose weight though because I can't face gaining.

  • true and false. the older you are the more stuck in your ways u are. and the harder it is to break bad eating/diet/exercise habits...

  • We slow down metabolically as we age. It's very normal. If you start cutting your portions, eat whole grains, lean proteins, fruits and veggies, and cut down your sugars and refined flours, combined with exercise, I'm sure you'll be fine.

  • That has been my experience as well. Even with portion control and cutting way back on high-cal goodies, it's tough:(

  • 37 was when I started to keep on my weight.

Have been cutting carbs and it does work great!

  • The weight gain didn't happen until I was 40 and since it has been down hill and ready to accept myself as just being fat and realizing I was not always this way, i have pictures to prove I was a size 7!, lol
I know that no matter how hard I work my metabolism is just about stopped, it happens with age, oh well, acceptance is key.
