Has this happened in your area? This is crazy!

I went grocery shopping with dh and noticed that the apple juice we usually buy for .99 is now $3.49!!!.....It was only ONE week ago that I was paying .99....how on earth did it get to $.3.49 overnite??? This was at the Save-a-lot store in my area.

I noticed this on a lot of other food items too. Eggs where .99 too...now $2.99 wtf???!!!

Have I entered some weird twilight zone? How do food prices triple in 1 week? Do we just stop eating?

  • They always raise prices around the holidays. Everyone is buying to make big dinners and goodies and since everything is supply and demand they get away with raising prices. people will pay regardless of the price. It sucks

  • What I noticed at my grocery store is that they will list a sales item, but then in super small writing it says you have to buy 10 of the item to get the sales price. I dont want to buy 10 jars of spagetti sauce in one shopping trip!

  • Some items do have seasonal increases. But most food items go up when the price of gasoline goes up and go down when the price of gas goes down.
