  • I think that evolution happens very slowly. For instance, we don't have a need for our appendix anymore. When our diets included a more hearty diet in pre-historic times, our bodies needed the appendix to digest those foods. Now, we don't need it at all. So you never know...we probably are still evolving. Perhaps we are just adapting to our environments.

  • everything is evolving constantly, hence the reason they can merge different fruits and vegetables and breed new kinds. Same as how they found a new breed of dolphin deep in the oceans of Australia recently. We are always evolving. With so many ancestors and a long bloodline we carry on genetics from everyone. Have you ever seen a silkworm evolve into a butterfly or moth? We have evolved also by different races having children together. Back in the 1600's people were so much shorter thn now, but because of genetics, diet, food and medicine we evolve into other types of people. We have children born with their heads stuck together because the egg did not split, that is a type of evolution. we have couple who have children with RARE disorders, that is a type of evolution, ther are those boys from Mexico who were born with hair covering their entire bodies....another type of evolution, We are always changing.

  • If we evolved, how come we don't see evidence of the evolutionary trail in fossilized remains?

  • I disagree, respectfully with the examples you have given. To me those are MUTATIONS, not evolution.

  • What proof do you have that we came from God?

Answer by ambie1983 at 3:21 AM on Nov. 7, 2008

  • As Anon pointed out, mutation, adaptation, is what we see all around us, not evolution. Our society isn't very clear on the difference, and therein lies the source of the debate. We don't see it any more, 'cause it didn't happen back then either. As SusieD states, in all the voluminous fossil record we have now uncovered, there is no evidence of one species changing into another. All the plant and animal life forms appear in the fossil record fully-fashioned ... almost as if they were created.
