School Christmas show

Hi ladies!

I am looking for some fun ideas for our Christmas show. We are going to do a show about how they celebrate Christmas in many different countries and we can't up with any decoration ideas for the stage. One of the other teachers thought that since we're doing an international thing we should make airplanes and stuff.. But it doesn't sound very Christmasy!! Help please!

Thanks!

PS the kids are between the ages 7 and 10

  • Use the different kinds of Santa in different countries, their outfits and Christmas decoration tend to differ a bit from here in the USA.

  • european countries dont really celebrate christmas like the u.s. so i would simply have 1 kid each say merry christmas in a different language and hold up that countries flag on a piece of paper or something.

  • why not do "santa around the world" kid pretend to be from other cultures and demonstrate how the santa story changes with different cultures - also connects to the social studies standard for that grade level about how ideas move and how they change as they move.
