  • My dd is almost 8, but at 6 she liked tinkerbell books(leveled reader ones) as well as anything on animals. She has alot of books! SHe likes Stink, and Martha speaks and Judy Moody, I have gotten her some of the fairy series, but she hasnt read much of them so far. She so far is more into non fiction. Thismorning she was reading a science book about Shes a great reader and about a year ahead of her class, so its been hard to find a series that will be age appropriate yet be interesting still. Best idea is to get into the bookstore and take your time looking around in the 6-8 age group, theres' lots of series as well as others.
One that she also liked was fancy nancy.

  • one thing about the Junie B Jones books, is that they write like kids talk, so the grammar is awefull. I stayed away as I didnt want my dd to start to spell like the book is written.
