would you let your 9 year old, watch your 9 month old for 5 minutes so you could take a shower?

if he just sits with him and looks at books then the 9 month old will just sit right there. as long as the big kid is playing with him....

i needed minutes... i was kind of nervous, but i knew inside it would be ok. it was only 5 minutes... what would you do?

  • I would. W/ some ground rules of course Mainly come get me if the baby does anything other than sit there like a lump, smile, play, or laugh.

  • Yes, I would have no issue with that, and probably did do that, since my oldest is 8 yrs older than my youngest.

  • I would if the 9 year old was responsible enough or I would just put baby in the crib for 5 minutes until I finished my shower.

  • I've done that before, but I left the bathroom door open and would yell back and forth to make sure everything was ok.

  • Yes, 9 is plenty old enough to keep an eye on baby while you shower.
