quck mommy needs help! sick baby...

6 month old sounds like she got crap in her chest...do i put hot or cold water in her humidifier..or not use a humid at all? what to do!?!?!

  • run the shower on hot water and let it get really steamy them stand in there for a few min that helped my daughter

  • I would use a cool mist humidifier in her room. You can also turn the shower on hot and sit in the steamy bathroom with her to see if that helps loosen things up. you can also put baby vicks on her feet with socks over top. if you think it is affecting her breathing at all though you should take her to the dr or an urgent care as she may need meds to help open up her airways. some ways to tell are shallow breaths, look at her chest to see if her breathing is labored and her chest caves when she takes a breath...and obviously if she is turning blue or becoming unresponsive. Sometimes it can be hard to tell how severe a breathing issue is when they are that young.

  • If that's the soonest you can get her in, I would go to a clinic or something. The shower trick that a previous poster mentioned is really good. Also you can google the manual to your humidifier.
