I never hear my husband tell our 2 year old daughter that he loves her...

  • My husband does/did this too....he's gotten better about telling her a little more. It still doesn't come easy, and I think it's a product of his upbringing.
I've just encouraged my daughter to say it to him, so at least it's an easy "I love you too" back to her...

He may feel that he's showing his love in his time with her.  He could feel he's showing his love with the things he provides to her.
