Why in the heck are my son's cheeks so flushed?!!

Ever since he woke up from his nap at 3:30 (almost 5 hours ago) his cheeks are both SUPER flushed. He doesn't have a fever and to my knowledge is not sick. I figured maybe he just slept funny or got a little hot while he was napping but it's been this long and there hasn't been a single change in the appearance. Any ideas??

  • My son's cheeks have been the same way. I don't know why.

  • It sounds like he might have dry skin. During the winter your babies skin can get dry which can cause pinkish cheeks.

  • DS did the same thing the other day. No fever, not sick, and he wasn't hot. THe little guy was just super flushed. It was gone by the next day though.

  • it could be fifth's disease....it's a form of parvovirus. it's only dangerous to pregnant women who have not been exposed before.
