What foods to eat after light cardio?

I really enjoy doing my own pace cardio workouts at home or at groups in the community. Let's say i use 65% of my target heart rate after a 30 min session. What would be some good food to eat after?

  • Egg whites are great to eat before a workout and a carb is good to eat after.

  • protein with some complex carbs. Hummus w/ some whole grain pita chips, yogurt & berries, PB and banana on a rice cake. Having protein immediately following a workout as opposed to just carbs will 1. Help your muscle repair itself and 2. Help you avoid getting majorly hungry. Eating within an hour is fine
