  • just tell him, thats the easiest way. Just get it out there on the table.

  • You don't have to break up with him just because you want to move into your grandmothers house. Just do it. Tell him you're going to her house because you feel more comfortable there. He can either be a baby about it, or accept it.

  • Be very honest.. your reasons are valid along with your feelings.. lets just put it this way you can't please everyone and you and the babies health is what is important ;)..

  • You tell him straight up that you can't deal with his Mother..or the home. For the sake of your sanity and the babies health you are moving to Granmothers. If he is welcome to come..fine. You have to do what's best for you and the baby.

  • Just tell him about the environmental things so he can't argue or be hurt over it. It's best to be healthy. All the smoke you are ingesting, the baby ingests too so pack those bags!

  • Ask him to move there with you. It's not healthy for the baby NOW, you being pregnant in a smokers house, if they smoke inside. Let alone the stress. Tell him all that, if he doesn't want to listen, have him go to a OB appointment. They still ask if you drink or smoke, right? If so, say no, but others in the home do. That way, he should get the point. And ask him to move with you.

  • The environment is certainly a factor and should be stressed. But, beyond that MIL issues only get worse with time, not better as a rule. It's best for the baby's health to get out of the environment, but also better for the baby's childhood to determine whether or not this will be an issue that will destroy the 2 parent family down the road.

Divorce or splitting up is usually not desirable for the child and the sooner addressed, the better.
