  • My kids are grown and on their own....the dog is now the child. Isn't that the way it's supposed to work?

  • Before i had a child my Chihuahua was my baby.. I thought id never go a day without him but DD came along. he got protective (even while i was pregnant) starting peeing on me. peeing on her stuff.. after 6mo we gave him to MIL  :-(   it was heart-breaking but my dd was more important...

Now dd is 4yo & we just got a dog (my chihuahua is loved at MIL house so i cant take him back lol) ... he is a DOG... we love on him & he has got a nice life. but we dont allow him to sleep on our bed, he is our first pet to be caged while we are gone..

Im sure when we have an empty nest our dogs will become our kids that never leave home :)
