What's more important?

So, many of the Dems are upset that Obama has agreed to allow tax rates to stand for everyone and they are showing it. Do you think this is turning into a Democrat/Obama fight rather than a Fight for middle class people? Will it all blow over or are they serious about bucking the President?

  • Who cares? All this infighting is just making it that much easier for the Republicans to win come 2012. Keep it up, libs. Your just cutting your own throats.

  • Oh please! The only people politicians (BOTH parties) care about are the ones that can line their pockets the most.

Seriously people stop thinking "conservative vs liberal" and start thinking "we the people need to regain control of our government".

  • mommom got it right. The Dems are fighting for the middle class...and the tax cuts for everyone will not help the middle class. They will just increase the transfer of wealth to the upper classes. Keep waiting for that trickle down...maybe another 20 years?

  • The democrats are fighting for the middle class.

The democrats have never fought for the middle class. They don't even pretend to. They pretend to fight for the lower class (urban poor) while they actually fight for themeselves. They are no different from pubs in that respect, except that they pay lip service to a different group. The dems feed off the middle class and have openly admitted it as long as they've been around (now bring on the downvotes from all those people who have never bothered to study the history of their own damn party and really believe they know what they're talking about).

  • Im so sick of these politicians from both sides- I think they all need to be let go & run by regular citizens from each community. "We the people" are living the lives these politicans are ruining! I think it would make more sense to put us regular folks in charge- b/c we know what we need. We could do away w/ career politicans & special interest groups & get this country back on track. Any mom who cuts coupons, shops the sales, etc. could get the waste out of our federal budget & balance the damn thing too!

  • Stacy. that is ridiculous. The middle class will keep the current tax rate whether or not the so called rich keep theirs. This tax rate is not what has gotten us into this mess so even if we were to pick up a few millions dollars by not extending it to the so called rich it would not help anyone. There is nothing else in this bill that will help anyone to any degree. This is just something to cause more of a rift between the President and the Parties.
