  • Hmmm... correct me if I'm wrong, but I do think you can begin to lose your mucus plug before you start dilating. Sorry, not 100% on that.

  • Yes, and your mucus plug can regenerate, too.

  • Yes, you most definately can lose some of your mucous plug without dilating. I never dilated in any of my 4 pregnancies, which in turn led to all c-sections. But I did lose some of my mucous plug. Good luck

  • Those checks for dilation don't mean a thing, hun. I've had women dilated to 4 cm for months, and others who were closed and high one day then holding a baby the next. Women can lose their mucus plug at any time during their pregnancy, and, like Rhianna1708 said, it can regenerate. I wouldn't put too much stock into all that stuff.
Raspberry leaf tea can help, sex and walking are very effective. Ultimately, Baby will come when Baby is ready.
Contractions will get more regular and closer together soon. They might feel different, too. Many women say the labor contractions feel different from BH contractions.

  • I never lost my mucus plug for either kid, nor was dialated. It went from 0-10cm within 4 hours for each. Baby will come when they feel the time is right! =)
