does a normal quad screen usually mean everything is okay?

I know it sounds dumb but just making sure

  • I don't do prenatal screenings. They give ALOT of false positives and ALOT of false negatives too.

  • quad screens are just normal bloodwork screenings; and a normal one is great :) GL today!

  • it just means they didnt find anything add normal with your blood work. I agree with navy wife though you can get some false results sometimes. I had a positive result with my son and he was born just fine, nothing wrong with him what so ever.

  • Oh, another reason why I decline all prenatal testing, even if you found something out like your baby had DS or something else, I wouldn't do anything or abort or anything like that so I'd rather not stress about it my whole pregnancy.

  • Yeah, I on the other hand would want to know of any major defects; depending upon the results, I might choose to terminate; I know what I can and can't handle... further testing is done following a quad screen, which can rule out the possibility of the quad being wrong; I believe typical bloodwork should always be performed for the safety of the mother and the fetus.

  • Well I believe all babies should be born at home and abortion is murder and if you can't handle all possibilities, don't have sex. I'm so glad we all have our beliefs out there.
