Oooooh! micro fiber!

i just bought some sheets for my son that are "micro fiber". I read the tag, they're polyester! Lol. So is this one of those renaming things with fancy schmancy names to make it more appealing?

  • Lol. Actually microfiber refers to the way the particular fabric is made, not the fiber it's made from, so microfiber can be produced from any number of different synthetics (ie-polyester, rayon, nylon). So yes, the sheets you bought probably are microfiber--they should feel very tightly woven together--even if they're polyester.

  • Probably, but the polyester of today isn't that of the polyester my mom wore in the late 60's and - oh, my, the leisure suits of the 70's.
