  • No, it's one of those books I've wanted to add to my library for a while, but any time I go to buy it I buy something else. I think it's going to be a great reference and educational book, but I wouldn't use it beyond maybe "examples."

    Why not?

My mom has had this book for some yrs now and I've gotten pretty good info and spells out of it. I just really want my own.

  • Because I don't use spells I haven't written. I never would. Everything I do comes from me.

  • Sabrina I couldn't agree more. I RARELY do spell work anymore but any time I have or would in the future all comes from me. I'm not comfortable with other people's spells. I think it's something way too personal to be generic KWIM?

  • To me, if you are more confident using someone elses spells, go for it. But I am not. Personally I'm the kind of person that simply doesn't have as much faith in someone else as I do in my self. That confidence is a big part of your spell work. If you don't believe it's going to work, it won't work nearly as well.

  • Well sabrina,
I have been personalizing spells since I started. But the other day I read an article online that warned about changing spells. It freaked me out a little. Im a newbee - 2yrs max, so reading that made me think twice.

    Consider your advice well taken!

  • I wonder why anyone would warn against it? Was it an article about Wicca, Witchcraft or something more along Occult lines? Voodoo or Alchemy? I would definitely advise against changing things with those, but they aren't witchcraft, they are usually strict ritual work...
