Would you like the option to block people from answering anon?

It seems like a lot of the anon answers are really snotty and people just hide behind that when answering a question. I would like to see a feature that you can block anon answers from a question. I don't mind different opinions, but if you are going to hide behind anon to be hateful, I would rather you just stay away from my questions. Does anyone else feel this way?

  • Yes. I understand offering the option because some people (for whatever reason) think they need to have extra privacy. But as the question ASKER I think I should have the option to say "I'm willing to get less answers & not allow anons"

  • I would not like that option. I post anon occasionally, especially on embarrassing questions. I'm not hateful in my responses so I don't fall under the criteria you specify. Anon is a good option...just ignore the rude comments. This way, you get more answers and who really cares if they post anon or not?

  • No. Anons lose points for the nasty comments every time someone votes them down. I think that's enough.

No they don't, they only lose points once, and only if they get enough downvotes to collapse it

  • I think it would be helpful. I can understand someone answering anon when it's something personal or embarrassing. But when it's a political debate question, or debate question, it seems the people who answer anon do it so that they can bash other peoples opinions, and not have anyone know who they are. It's very cowardly, and frustrating.
