We all have new pajamas, and we drive around looking at the Christmas lights, then come home and have hot cocoa. It all started when the kids were little, and we put them in their pajamas because they would be asleep by the time we got home. Then one year they asked why we weren't in ours, so we decided to be silly and put ours on, too. We also open up one present each on Christmas Eve. When they were little, we lived far from any family, so we let them open up present's from relatives on Christmas Eve, and would show them photos of who sent the present, then we would call them and let the kids tell them their thank yous. It made for less confusion on Christmas morning. They would remember better what Grandma, for instance got them, and then when they saw her later in the year and she asked about it, they wouldn't be sitting there with a dumb look on their face.
