Have you ever seemed to notice that in Disney movies someone/something dies?

I wonder what's up with that?

    No deaths: Monster's Inc, Robinhood, Snow White, Aladdin, Sword and the Stone, Dumbo, Peter Pan, Jungle Book, 101 Dalmations, Toy Story 1, Toy Story 2,
    Deaths: Finding Nemo, Beauty&the Beast, Bug's Life, Bambi, Sleeping Beauty, Tangled, Up, Cinderella, Little Mermaid, Lady and the Tramp, Fox and the Hound, Alice in Wonderland,

    11 to 12 in the movies I currently own.....that's pretty even :)

  • I read something about this. A lot of the mother's die in the older ones because in real life a lot of mothers died in child birth so the movies were made to help kids cope with that-they weren't the only ones. They still make movies where characters die, though. Why did Nemo's mom have to die, that's a newer movie. She did die, right? That shark got her I think, it's been a while.
