So... if you find the virus file...

...and then you right-click and choose DELETE, and you get a message saying it can't be deleted, what do you do then? THANKS!

  • its probably because the program is Open.. you would have to boot up you computer in Safe Mode to keep the program from opening and then find and delete it.

when your computer is booting up it should tell you what Fkey to push to go to safe mode.

    good luck

  • The reason that it can't be deleted is a number of things. When viruses are downloaded onto your computer they run files constantly, so that when you find the virus folder they can't be deleted. As well, they incript a lot of hidden files that need to be deleted first before the main file can be deleted. Your best bet is to have someone really knowledgeable about computers and have them find every hidden virus folder. You also need to make sure that if you're using a virus remover program that you're using the right one. They're not created equally. There are many different types of viruses. Like Malware, Spyware, trojan, and so on. So if you're not using the proper software it will not detect or delete the virus.
