Free for all? Are there any universal fashion rules left?

Back in the day one did not wear white shoes after labor day, one matched their handbag to their shoes, ladies wore slips under dresses or skirts because heaven forbid you get caught in back lighting and someone see the shape of your legs lol. Are there any rules left - should there be or what should they be?

  • Here's a few rules I think should apply:
Fat people + skinny jeans = illegal
No leggings on anyone who's got too much 'baggage'
Plaids and stripes do not mix
Stripes and polka dots do not mix
Plaids and polka dots do not mix
    Do not tuck in t-shirts.
Those super skinny anorexic looking girls shouldn't wear tank tops
Those half vest looking things that makes you boobs pop out, so ugly
Leggings should only be worn with tunics or other longer type shirts
Dresses + Jeans = whoever thought that was fashionable needs to be hung
