  • Maybe they are going to the dollar tree store and its still not enough to feed a family, who are they? Is this a family member?

  • Maybe they don't have a way to get there. I have to walk to the grocery but can't walk all the way to the dollar store.

  • Maybe there isn't a dollar store that is accessible for them?

If there is an accesssible store, maybe it doesn't carry much foodstuffs? The one dollar near us doesn't carry much foodstuffs and what they do carry is mostly soda, candy & junkfood.

Maybe they do go to their local dollar store, but it doesn't carry enough variety to actually make a meal from what they get?

If you really think about it, I'm sure you could come up with more reasons.

  • The Dollar Tree here has a decent size frozen food section along with the usual dry goods. None of it is especially healthy though and it all seems to be in small quantities. If you actually attempted to stock enough food for a family you'd end up getting ripped off in the long run. And many times, when you're looking at things like handsoap for example, it may be $1 there but you can buy it at Walmart for 97 cents. That's how I'd answer your question in general, like the others ahead of me though I don't know if you're referring to something specific??
