Winter remodeling? Painting, and cleaning carpets...

I live in central Illinois and I want to paint my walls and clean my carpets....is it a bad thing to do it in the middle of the winter? will it take longer for the paint to dry, even though the heater is running? (it's 68-70 in the house at all times).
will my carpets dry properly? is it a bad idea to do either of these things right now???....

  • It'll be fine. Humidity is usually more of a factor in these issues than temperature.
