middle name help?

im sure my son will be Simon... all my kids have family middle names but....this time i am having a hell of a time finding one....especcially one that goes with Simon. my grandma always wanted one of us to name a boy after her dad, Theron, however i cant bring myself to because her memories of him are him beating her mother when she was a little girl. that just doesnt seem right to me. an dthen theres my grandpas name, Lawrence, but i have 2 cousins named after him already....so im thinking it might not be a family name. so im asking for help with a middle name. i really like "old fashioned" names, my daughters middle names are Heather, Jean, and Matilda...all family names but have that older sound to them.

  • what about combining the two boys names you already have? Maybe he could be Simon Terrence/Torrence? I'm sure your grandmother has to have SOME good memories of the guy if she wants his name carried on and this is a good way to honor the tiny good part of him, lol.

  • I like Simon Lawrence. According to your story, Lawrence does sound like a family name, in my ever so humble opinion...

  • Have you tried going for a grandmothers madien name or gret-grandmother. I did that with my third son. My great grandmothers name was Rhyder. I spelled it Ryder, his first name is Ethan. He has gone by Ryder his whole life.
