How do I keep my hair from getting tangled in the clasps of necklaces??

Anyone else have this problem? Whenever I wear a chain or a necklace, my hair ends up tangles in the clasp. It's a real pain, and because of this I rarely wear necklaces. Anyone have any solutions?

  • Buy a little plastic thingy that covers the clasp (looks similar to a ring guard) you can usually get them at a jewelry store, but I think WalMart has them too.

  • I don't have this problem because my hair is short, but I imagine you could wrap a small piece of clear tape around the clasp to prevent the hair from getting caught. Then, the tape may be an irritant, but maybe not. Sorry, that's all I could think of.

  • For a cheap and inexpensive solution, Rub a little carmex or vaseline on the necklace, just around where the clasp is before you go out for the day. Or, you could take a piece of scotch tape and wrap it around the clasp as well....Just a few suggestions!

    Good luck!
