Looking for yummy dinners that wont kill a budget.

  • Some chicken, some rice and cream of mushroom or scream of celery soup... makes a great baked cassarole that is inexpensive. You can make it for 2 or for 20. Add a salad or broccoli..something green on the side.

  • Casseroles. Mac and cheese, tuna, etc. Also, meatballs with gravy or buttered noodles, rice or potatoes. Spaghetti, tacos, chili, soups and sandwiches, breakfast for dinner, meatloaf. Check out www.allrecipes.com or www.foodnetwork.com ($10 Meals or Rachael Ray). Kraft Foods website is good too.

  • The easiest thing I ever found, that everyone would eat, of course, is Hamburger Noodle Casserole.  So easy, but yet yummy.  You can read how to make it here:  How to Make Hamburger Noodle Casserole.   Yes, that's my article that I wrote, I just can't paste the whole recipe in here.   LOL!!

  • Homemade meatloaf, baked potatoes & a veggie of choice (we prefer steamed broccoli)


    Spaghetti, homemade meatballs, fresh salad


    Grilled & seasoned fish filets (whatever's on sale), seasoned rice & salad


    Homemade individual pizzas w/each person adding their own toppings, green salad


    Homemade chicken stew w/dumplings (great in the crockpot)


    Grilled chicken salad loaded w/fresh veggies, hard boiled egg slices, a few french fries & cheese shreds, dressing of choice


    Tacos (hard shell and/or tortillas), refried beans, fresh toppings (tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, olives, etc.), corn cakes


    Fried chicken, cornbread, mashed potatoes, steamed veggies
