    These are very sweet.  Here's an example

    Those we love don't go away,
    They walk beside us every day,
    Unseen, unheard, but always near,
    Still loved, still missed and very dear.

  • Do Not Stand At My Grave and Weep
    by Mary Elizabeth Frye

    Do not stand at my grave and weep;
    I am not there. I do not sleep.
    I am a thousand winds that blow.
    I am the diamond glints on snow.
    I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
    I am the gentle autumn rain.
    When you awaken in the morning's hush
    I am the swift uplifting rush
    Of quiet birds in circled flight.
    I am the soft stars that shine at night.
    Do not stand at my grave and cry;
    I am not there. I did not die.

    When my best friend passed way they put this poem on her funeral cards.

  • It sounds weird, but how about the lyrics from a song she liked? I am going to read over the lyrics to Home Sweet Home by Motley Crue because that is the song that we played at my son's memorial service.

  • When I hear the lyrics to "Arms Wide Open", by Creed, I always think of my daughter. It was playing on the radio the day we brought her home after her birth and it was also playing when we left the hospital on the day she passed.
