good soap or cleaner for diabetic hands

i am tired of using alcohol swabs to clean my fingers and arms before i test my blood sugars. is there a soap out there or another product that will not dry out my finger tips and arms? thanks! i tried lava soap but it dried out my skin too much. any suggestions?

  • I'm a RN and deal with diabetics all the time. We use alcohol swabs to clean fingertips but you are fine if you was your hands really good with soap....preferably an antibacterial soap. Use warm water and scrub for at least 30 seconds.
