how can i get 3yr old out of diapers

iv been working with her over 2 wks now....she will use the potty but refuses to tell me when she needs to go.

  • Just flat out put her in underwear and deal with the mess. Chances are she won't like the feel of wet pants and start telling you when she needs to go. A diaper doesn't help her feel the problem.

  • ONE DAY WHEN YOUR OFF OF WORK ! STAY HOME WITH HER AND HAVE HER SIT ON THE POTTY UNTIL SHE GOES !

  • Take away the diapers. If she goes in the potty when you take her, then she is ready. Just get ready for a battle of wills. You will win, it just might take a little time.

  • Maybe she is not ready? The average age for girls is 36 months.

  • Try a reward system.. If she tells you she has to pee she gets a star is she pulls her owns pants down she gets a star if she sits on the potty she gets a star if goes tot he potty she gets a star if she washes her hands she get a star ect. it works for my 2 year old(10-19-08)
