Has anyone had PCOS (PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome) ever had symptoms stop and normal monthly cycles resume?

I've had normal cycles for about 3 years now! Anyone else have that happen? I'm on no medications. A lot of people take Metformin because PCOS acts like type 2 diabetes.

  • I have to be on birth control to have normal periods. I stopped taking Metformin b/c of all the awful side effects. I'm not looking to have another child any time soon so I'm fine w/ having to be on birth control. Good for you though!

  • I used birth control for years. After I stopped, my periods still came normally and the symptoms never came back.
I later developed Type 2 diabetes and took metformin only for years.
