I have a diabetic ulcer on my big toe how do i get rid of it?

I have a diabetic ulcer and i had it 9 months my surgar is great now and i have taken antibiotics but it stills seams to be there

  • Talk to your doctor. Weather it needs the attention of the Endo or the regular I don't know. Me= not diabetic. I just love one like she's my sister.

  • You need to keep a close eye on it. I would for sure go to your doctor. Trace the edges with a pen to make sure it's not spreading. Better to go get it treated now then to have to deal with a nasty wound later.

  • I am not diabetic, so I have no idea, but 9 months seems a long time to have an open sore on your toe. I would see a doctor about it.

  • I would talk to your doctor ASAP. Diabetic ulcers are extremely serious. If the ulcer gets infected you could end up loosing your entire foot, or worse!

  • thanks everyone i have been to the doctor and i have been on antibiotics and soaked my foot in vinegar and water . and nothing seems to help it.
