How do you motivate yourself in the morning so you aren't a grumpy mom?

  • Nice hot shower before anyone else wakes up and then motivational music...before i wake my son up. i have a special rountine and try to follow it consistently becasue waking up on the wrong side of the bed can be rough.

  • I really have to work at it... I used to be grumpy half of the day before I really woke up until my SO pointed out how rude I was lol. I usually just try to think about what I say before I say it.

  • Every morning, I walk to my mothers house (about a 1/8 mile away), and have coffee and breakfast with her. If its a bad morning, I know at least I can drink my coffee and wake up while my DD is making a mess at someone else's house. LOL. She plays over there for a while, and then we walk back, and she takes her nap, so I can get my cleaning done...
    So yeah, coffee and my mom haha
