Old cowboy names for a baby boy?

Our family is a bunch of cow pokes and my husband and I are looking for cowboy names for our baby boy. Any suggestions? Oh and John Wayne is out sorry lol.

    Okay... I looked up famous cowboy names and this is the best of the bunch. Personally I vote for Hoot :D

  • I love the names, except most have been used in our family already. My husbands name is Sonny so sunset is pretty close to that. However there isn't a Hoot in our family yet lol. And no Reno yet.

  • My dad comes from a line of cowboys, so how about...Melvin or Osbourne? Oh and his dad was named Fredrick.

  • My kids and I are reading a great book together right now that is set in 1861 and involves problems between the white settlers and Native Americans. Anyway, the main character--one of the white Texan settlers--is named Lewallen (like Lou-all-en NOT Lew-al-en). It's pretty authentic cowboy to me, and probably not very common anymore.
