  • I always throw something in there evry time I see one. It might only be a handful of pennies or a few quarters but they get something always!

  • No. for one, I'm friggin poor. All my spare change goes in a can at home for my daughter. She's two and she loves to put money in her can to save it up.
    Two, the bell is annoying as hell. Bell ringing was originally intended to drive away evil spirits. Turns out it also works on a lot of normal people. Using a bell to attract people is not a good tactic.

  • Usually it's only pennies or nickels, but yes, I always do. The Salvation Army runs many terrific programs and helps many people.

  • Yes. My son likes to drop coins in the kettles, so we always make sure we have a few for him to drop in.

  • me = no ... as weird as it sounds those bell ringers freak me out. My kids, though, run right up. After turkey day we always make sure we have quarters or a few bucks on us
