About how long does it take to get cream cheese to room temp if it's frozen?

  • I've never frozen it, but if you want to hurry it along a bit, you can put it in the microwave for just a few seconds at a time. Be sure to remove it from it's foil wrapper first. You want it to be just soft enough so that it will blend well, so be really careful not to melt it too much.

  • quickest way to get it to room temp from frozen is to run the foil package under cool water, and then tepid water. it'll take about 15 minutes that way. sitting on the counter it'll take about an hour (or more) to reach room temp from frozen.

    I buy mine on sale, and stick extras in the freezer, so any time I want to use it I have to thaw it out first.
