Positive or negative thoughts?

When you find yourself lying awake at night unable to get back to sleep, what are your thoughts like? Are they mainly positive thoughts, or negative thoughts? I was thinking about this last night when I couldn't sleep and I'm a really negative thinker when I can't get back to sleep. During the day though, I'm not like that, just at night. Just curious to see what other people are thinking when they can't get to sleep at night.

  • My husband never sleeps well and has nightmares but he's always SO positive. I mostly worry at night and I think things always look bleak in the dark.

  • It all depends on how my day went. Most of the time my thoughts are positive.

  • Gee, good question. Depends on how you look at it. I often wake up, screaming from a nightmare, then start writing down solutions to a problem I had.

  • i'm in my twenties and honestly STILL afraid of the dark so my thoughts are mostly negative mixed with a lot of worrying about nothing!
