chicken, rice and cheese recipe in the crockpot

Someone on cafemom mention this awhile back but i never got the actual recipe and the details of the recipe so i was just wondering if anyone could help me out. really just how much water for the rice . i am not sure if its the same amount that is on the box. thanks!

  • Here's the recipe out of my book: can of cream of chicken soup, 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix, 21/2 C. water, 1 C. long grain rice, uncooked, 6 oz. boneless, skinless chicken breast tenders, 1/4 tsp. black pepper. Combine all. Cook on low 5-6 hours, stirring occasionally. If you want to add cheese, add it at the end and just let it melt.

  • well i have cream of mushroom soup i don;t have dry onion soup on hand. i have the chicken and the rice. and the cheese and the black pepper ofcourse. maybe i will just try to make up something. thanks.

  • Yes you use the same amount of water called for on the box - not some random amount!
