Removing Wax?

What is the best way to remove wax from linoleum? A candle melted all over a small area of the linoleum in a little alcove that wasn't being used. (Our Central Valley 100 degree plus heat in the summer). Don't want to end up scratching the surface.

  • Use a hair dryer to heat the wax so when you do remove it, it isn't broken into a bunch of small pieces that you have to deal with. After you have heated it a bit, use something like a plastic putty knife to scrape the workable wax off the floor. The bigger concern would probably be the discoloration left behind on the floor. That would be a whole other issue. Good luck!
