  • Sexual intercourse is the ultimate, most intense act of intimacy. That is why divorce or parting ways is so painful.

    But also knowing another's deepest fears, fondest hopes, and worst sins, is intimate, too.

  • When my husband and I refer to intimate we mean being alone without distractions (electronic or otherwise). When we both feel comfortable to talk about anything. Of course, sex is the ultimate intimacy.
