What are you buying your child for Christmas?

I need ideas for ds(6) and dd(nearly 3). I tried asking ds what he wanted-several times and he just says "cars". Well I can't really buy JUST cars!

So much is out there for this age. We keep it basic. No batteries, no lights, no beeps, here are some basic good ideas for this age.
    -------------------
    Age appropriate books. 3
Flip flap, lift up page books. ( has more pictures to see under the flap ) 3
Huge piece puzzles . Block wood type of puzzle that little hands grab best. 3
Snacks in both stockings that are the ''same''. 3
Lincoln logs. ( assemble nice and are wood. ) 3
Magnetic letters ( for the refrigerator or a ''magnetic board'' ) 3

a magic set (huge box, Amazon $30, hope it's good)
    lego set
a couple of k'nex sets or something like that that I got good deals on two months ago
had my own dad and SM send him books (he loves to read)
    bakugan
DH got him a slingshot, a nerf gun, a bike helmet, some "soft-air" gun or something

His big present is a bike

I guess we overdo but I love buying him stuff ..and usually DH doesn't buy anything except the big present.....

  • how about a race track to go with all those cars. I have bought one already for my boys. They seem to be on sale everywhere. Games they both can play like Candy land, uno. We love books so my boys always get a big stack of new books.
