Boyfriend moving in with me, love him very much! One problem he has a dog that he had raised since a puppy (very gentle pitbull) i am allergic to dogs, should i live on benadryl or ask him to do something w the dog? I have 2 cats though and dont really want my cats to have to hide in their house! Just live with it, by stock in allergy meds?

  • If you two are to the point of moving in together he should know/understand that you are allergic. Get rid of them.

  • i'm sorry... but long term use of over the counter medication is un-healthy.... if you two are both dead set on keeping the to a doctor about monthly allergy shots.., if thats not an option the dog has to go... OVER THE COUNTER ALLERGY MEDICATIONS ARE NOT MEANT FOR DAILY LONG TERM USE

  • Does your boyfriend know you have an allergy? I think the two of you should make a decision together.

  • Relationships are about compromise, your have 2 cats who will get use to the dog and there are meds to treat allergies. How do you deal with your allergy to your cats?

  • Its not fair that he should choose between you or his dog. Are you gonna get rid of ur cats? This is a conversation that you need to have with him....GOOD LUCK. BTW pit bulls are great dogs....
