  • I don't until it's over 100.5, my pedi said that anything under that doesn't need to be treated.

  • I hold off unless the temp reaches 102. There are other ways to help reduce a fever than giving drugs. Lukewarm baths, light clothing, popsicles, ice packs at the pressure points...

  • We try not to use anything unless it gets over 102. A fever is not a bad thing, it's your body's way of fighting off whatever is going on in your body. If you keep stopping it you are prolonging the illness.

  • Our ped says 101, and I've followed that with good result. But she did say that if they have a 99 degree temp and they are miserable, then go ahead and give them something. I guess it's how sick the child is and how they are behaving.
